Cord Compatibility

Clamp N Charge fits flat 'zipper' or ribbon-style 18/2 SPT-1/2 lamp and extension cords, the kind on most bedside and desk lamps. Round appliance cords are not compatible. Quick check: lay your cord flat. If the two wires sit side by side in a flat ribbon, you are good to go.

FAQs

Will Clamp N Charge fit my lamp cord?

Yes, if your cord is flat. It fits flat ribbon-style 18/2 SPT-1/2 lamp and extension cords, the most common type in US homes. Round appliance cords will not work.

Is Clamp N Charge safe?

Yes, Clamp N Charge was independently tested by KTi to IEC 62368-1, the same safety standard used across consumer electronics, and it is FCC compliant.

How do I install it and what tools do I need?

Just a Phillips screwdriver and about a minute. Unplug the cord, seat it in the groove, tighten the included screw, and plug back in. A green light confirms it is working.

How many devices can I charge at once?

Two. The dual USB-A ports share a regulated 5V 2.1A output, and a free USB-C adapter is included for newer phones. It is built for phones, tablets, and earbuds, not laptops.

Can I use it in a dorm or rental?

Absolutely. It never touches your walls or outlets, so there is nothing a landlord could object to. Install it on your lamp cord and take it with you when you move.
